From 28th March to 11th April our class G9C worked on an exhibition about “Ireland – The Emerald Isle”. (This was Ms Thier’s project for her exam paper.)
We were very excited to learn more about Ireland. At the beginning of the project we learned the old language, called Gaelic, and then we got some impressions of the country by looking at posters and pictures. For our exhibition we chose different topics: Irish mythology, sports, Dublin, music, Irish food and drink and Irish history. We searched for information on the Internet and found out many interesting things about our topic which we had not known before.
After the research we wrote our own texts and designed our posters. Then we prepared the library and rehearsed our presentation.
On Friday 11th April we presented our project to many visitors in the school library during the second break. We were so excited but everything went well and all of the visitors were interested. Sometimes the work was difficult but in our opinion it was a big success although we had only six lessons to prepare our exhibition.
